I've spent my career with startups designing tech with positive impact
I've always been interested in design, architecture, and engineering. Before working in design, I created my own university degree in Human-Computer Interaction.
Afterward I was the first employee of YC-backed FarmLogs—just three people on a couch building a data platform to fight big ag companies. I led our entire product design and built our brand. As we grew, I became Director of Product Design, hiring an incredible design team and using design to drive company strategy. We raised $35MM+, grew to 70 people, and onboarded ⅓ of American farmers on our platform.
Later, I co-created a design course at the University of Michigan. We focused on building practical design and entrepreneurial skills in our students, who went on to work at Google, Asana, Microsoft, and other high-growth tech companies.
Now I work both as an independent product consultant for startups. I focus on visionary founders who share my belief that technology, with care, can be a force for good. I've worked with innovative companies in healthcare, agriculture, food systems, higher education, B2B SaaS, artificial intelligence, and many more.
In my extra time, I write about product design and build my own bootstrapped SaaS products. I've also run local design organizations, served as mentor to companies in TechStars and Y Combinator, and spoken about design and creative process at Brown University and various conferences.
Originally from near Philadelphia, I'm based in Ann Arbor, MI.
